UBEC is one of the micro voltage regulators, having a good voltage regulator is important when it comes to robotics. Voltage regulators helps power your gear, including cameras, LED lights, controllers, and motors. UBEC micro voltage regulators are perfect for smaller Robot design.

There are many power bank available in market, but if you plan to build your own power bank using AA battery than you will need UBEC power regulator to get constant 5.3V.

In this video I am using 6 AA batteries each Battery is 1.3 to 1.5V so Total voltage is around 7.5 to 9V. In order to use it my Robot car I will need constant 5.2V. So I have used UBEC to get constant 5.2 to 5.3V.

I am using 6 AA battery holder with power switch that you can get it for $2  and connect UBEC to output of Battery holder. Measure its voltage to make sure you are getting around 5.3V.

You can use this setup for driving Motor or additional hardware that will need 5 to 5.5 V.
